New Delhi: Odisha’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has sanctioned an impressive lineup of 22 new projects, committing an investment of 24,066.71 crore across various sectors, with a significant focus on power & renewable energy and green energy equipment.
The approved projects, spearheaded by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, are expected to generate 25,525 employment opportunities across twelve districts, marking a pivotal step in Odisha’s journey towards becoming a leading destination for sustainable investment.
In the realm of Green Energy Equipment, Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Pvt Limited is set to establish an Electrolyser Manufacturing Plant in Khordha, with an investment of 2435 crore, aiming to create 300 job opportunities.
The Power & Renewable Energy sector is witnessing substantial growth, with Hindalco Industries Limited investing 200 crore in solar PV power in Koraput and Tata Steel Limited committing 125.69 crore towards a 22 MW Solar PV Power Plant in Sundergarh.
Additionally, Adani Total Energies Biomass Limited plans to venture into compressed biogas production in Sambalpur with a project cost of 136.50 crore, providing employment to 180 people.
“Odisha continues to see an increase in investments across a variety of industries, encouraging economic growth and job prospects throughout the state. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s strong leadership is transforming Odisha into a desirable global investment destination, and his innovative approach and commitment to sustainable and equitable growth have raised a high bar for the state’s overall development, an official statement said.
