From Bharat to the World: IB Solar Hosts SEforALL Delegation at Its 1.5 GW Solar Manufacturing Facility

  • August 18, 2026
  • IB Solar hosted a delegation from Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) at its 1.5 GW advanced solar manufacturing facility in Noida, bringing global and Indian energy stakeholders together to discuss India’s expanding role in the clean energy transition and the evolution of its domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on India’s manufacturing capabilities, quality-oriented production processes and the importance of developing resilient and diversified solar supply chains. As countries accelerate renewable energy deployment, strengthening manufacturing capacity has become increasingly important for improving energy security, reducing supply-chain vulnerabilities and supporting the long-term growth of clean energy markets.

SEforALL is a global organisation working to accelerate universal access to sustainable energy and support an inclusive energy transition. Its engagement with IB Solar offered a platform to connect India’s growing manufacturing capabilities with the broader priorities shaping the global energy landscape.

During the visit, discussions focused on the progress of India’s solar manufacturing sector and its potential to play a larger role in international markets. India has increasingly moved beyond being a major destination for renewable energy

deployment to developing capabilities across the solar value chain. The expansion of domestic manufacturing is also aligned with the country’s broader objective of building greater resilience within its clean energy supply chains.

For IB Solar, the engagement represents an opportunity to showcase the capabilities being developed within India while exchanging insights with international stakeholders working on sustainable energy access and the global energy transition. The company’s 1.5 GW manufacturing facility in Noida reflects the growing scale of India’s solar production infrastructure and the increasing emphasis on quality, technology and manufacturing capacity.

The interaction also comes against the backdrop of a rapidly changing global solar industry. Rising demand for renewable power, combined with supply-chain concentration in key manufacturing markets, has intensified the focus on geographical diversification and reliable production capacity. India is seeking to leverage this shift by strengthening its domestic manufacturing base and establishing itself as a competitive supplier to both domestic and international markets.

Greater collaboration between Indian manufacturers, international organisations and global energy stakeholders could play an important role in supporting this transition. Such engagements can facilitate knowledge exchange, strengthen industry connections and create greater alignment between national manufacturing priorities

    and global clean energy objectives.

As India continues to expand its renewable energy ambitions, the development of a robust solar manufacturing ecosystem will remain central to its energy strategy. Through its focus on expanding manufacturing capabilities in Bharat, IB Solar aims to contribute to India’s clean energy goals while building capabilities that can serve the evolving requirements of global markets.

The SEforALL visit underscores a broader shift underway in the solar industry: India is increasingly positioning itself not only as a major consumer of clean-energy technologies, but also as an important manufacturing and export hub for the global energy transition.
